Started in the summer of 2003,The Liberty Community Chorus is open to all singers age 16 and older from Liberty and the surrounding area. The mission of the Chorus is to foster the singing talents of its members and share the art of choral performance with the community through the pursuit of choral excellence in both the rehearsal and performance of diverse musical styles.
Since the inaugural performance of the Chorus, it has expanded to two seasons a year offering performances in both the fall and spring. The Spring 09 season is underway and will include two concerts. On May 2nd the Chorus is pleased to join with the Liberty Symphony to present Leonard Berstein's "Chichester Psalms". Then on May 9th, we end the season with "Instruments of Thy Peace" featuring songs of peace and unity
Additionally, by invitation, the Chorus has performed at selected community events including Liberty's Heritage Festival and The Jewish Community Center's Recognition Banquet.
